How to get to Mancora

Coming from Chile or Argentina (South of Peru):


From Santiago or Buenos Aires: the more usual way is to take a flight Santiago - Lima (3: 45 hours approx.) or a Buenos Aires - Lima flight (4: 30 hrs approx.).


 Once in Lima, you can choose from:


1. -A flight to nearby cities of Mancora (2 hrs flying approximately, depending on the airport) then land transport to Mancora and/or nearby beaches. For more information about this option, click here.
Lan , Peruvian Airlines and StarPeru offers national domestic flight in Peru.

Buenos Aires - Lima - Piura or Tumbes

 

2. Direct -bus from Lima Mancora and/or nearby beaches (1165 km, travel approximately 17 hrs trip). For more information about this option, click here.

 

Getting directly to Guayaquil (Ecuador):

 

Less frequented, alternatively get on a flight to the Guayaquil International Airport (Ecuador, 420 km north from Mancora). From here take some land transport (rental vehicle, private taxi, shared minivan or interprovincial bus), crossing the Peru - Ecuador frontier to get to Mancora and/or nearby beaches. From Arica, Iquique and/or northern Chile:

 

From Arica (Chile) you can take a shared minivan or other public or private transport to the Peruvian city of Tacna (1:30hr, US $ 10 approximately; one way). Once in Tacna you can choose between:

 

  1. A Tacna-Lima flight (1,200 km, approx 2 hrs flight, learn more about flights: lan.com)
  2. Direct bus from Tacna to Lima (17 hrs travel approx., one way tickets from US $ 25 to US $ 50).
